Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) & web accessibility

The part of the DDA that states websites must be made accessible came into force on 1 October 1999 and the Code of Practice for this section of the Act was published on 27 May 2002.

If you have a web site, you must ensure that it does not discriminate against disabled people in the way in which you recruit and employ people; provide services; or provide education.

A disabled person can make a claim against you if your website makes it impossible or unreasonably difficult to access information and services.

All web sites developed by Ayunia meet Priority 1 which is the minimum requirement for accessibility. This web site complies with Priority 3 which is the highest level.

Having an accessible web site means an increase audience for your business. Interested? Call Ayunia at 023 8047 0979 or 0845 0514564
